About

Eli Junior Kroupi is a French centre-forward who plays for AFC Bournemouth and the France U21 national team. A mobile and technically gifted attacker, he combines sharp movement inside the penalty area with composed finishing, intelligent link-up play and the versatility to operate away from the central striker position.

Born in Lorient, Kroupi developed entirely through FC Lorient’s academy and followed his father, former Ivory Coast international Eli Kroupi, into professional football. He made his senior breakthrough as a teenager before producing an outstanding 2024/25 season in Ligue 2.

Bournemouth signed him in February 2025 before immediately loaning him back to Lorient for the remainder of the campaign. Kroupi finished the season as Ligue 2’s leading goalscorer with 22 goals and helped Lorient win the league and return to Ligue 1.

His transition to England was equally impressive. During his first Premier League campaign in 2025/26, Kroupi scored 13 goals in 33 appearances, quickly establishing himself as one of Europe’s most valuable young forwards.

Kroupi appointed Moussa Sissoko as his representative in 2026 following his breakthrough Premier League season.

Sissoko operates primarily through an independent representation structure rather than a heavily branded multinational agency. He has developed one of the highest-value boutique portfolios in European football, with a particular concentration of elite French and Francophone talent.

Kroupi fits naturally within that portfolio. His combination of age, Premier League production and international potential places him among the most valuable emerging players represented by Sissoko.

The relationship will be particularly important as Bournemouth manage growing interest in Kroupi from clubs competing regularly in the Champions League.

Bournemouth moved early to secure Kroupi before his value accelerated significantly. The club agreed his transfer in February 2025 while allowing him to remain with Lorient for the rest of their promotion campaign.

That decision proved highly productive. Kroupi scored 13 goals in his final 13 league appearances after the transfer was agreed and finished the campaign with 22 goals.

His first season in England then demonstrated that his Ligue 2 production could translate to Premier League level. Thirteen league goals as a teenager dramatically increased his market value and established the original transfer as a major recruitment success for Bournemouth.

Playing profile

Kroupi is primarily a centre-forward but can also operate as an attacking midfielder, second striker or from the left side.

His finishing ability is the most developed part of his game. He remains composed inside the penalty area and is capable of scoring from relatively low-touch situations.

Kroupi’s movement is another major strength. He constantly searches for gaps between centre-backs and is particularly effective making curved runs across the defensive line.

Rather than operating purely as a penalty-box striker, he is comfortable dropping deeper to receive possession. His technical quality allows him to connect with attacking midfielders before accelerating back towards goal.

He also carries the ball effectively in transition and possesses enough agility to operate from wider attacking positions.

His right-footed finishing is particularly strong, but his movement and anticipation mean he does not depend on one specific type of chance. He can finish after through balls, combinations, rebounds or quick movements inside the six-yard area.

The combination of goalscoring instinct, mobility and technical quality gives Kroupi the profile of a modern forward capable of eventually playing either as a lone number nine or alongside another striker.
