About

Endrick is a Brazilian centre-forward who plays for Real Madrid and the Brazil national team. A powerful left-footed striker, he is known for his explosive acceleration, aggressive movement towards goal and ability to generate powerful finishes from relatively small spaces.

He developed through Palmeiras’ academy and became one of the most highly rated Brazilian talents of his generation. Real Madrid agreed his transfer while he was still 16, with the move formally completed after he turned 18 in July 2024.

After his first period with Real Madrid, Endrick joined Olympique Lyonnais on loan for the second half of the 2025/26 season in search of more regular playing time. The move proved productive, and he returned to Madrid in the summer of 2026 to compete for a place in the first-team attack.

At international level, Endrick made his senior Brazil debut in November 2023 at only 17. His rapid rise continued with goals against England and Spain in 2024, establishing him as one of the leading young forwards in Brazil’s long-term plans.

Transfer history

  • 2016 – Palmeiras academy – Joined the club’s youth system

  • 2022 – Palmeiras academy to first team – Promoted to the senior squad

  • 2024 – Palmeiras to Real Madrid – Permanent transfer – Reported guaranteed fee: approximately €35m plus substantial performance-related bonuses – Contract until June 2030

  • 2025 – Real Madrid to Olympique Lyonnais – Loan until June 2026 – No purchase option

  • 2026 – Olympique Lyonnais to Real Madrid – Returned following the conclusion of the loan

Real Madrid secured Endrick before his 17th birthday following competition from several leading European clubs. FIFA regulations prevented him from completing the international transfer until he turned 18.

The total potential package for the deal was significantly higher than the guaranteed initial fee due to performance-related bonuses and additional costs.

His temporary move to Lyon was designed to provide consistent senior minutes while allowing Real Madrid to retain complete control over his long-term future.

Playing profile

Endrick is primarily a centre-forward but can also operate as a second striker or from a slightly wider starting position. His game combines a powerful physical profile with explosive movement and an aggressive mentality around goal.

Despite being relatively short for a traditional number nine, Endrick is physically strong and has a low centre of gravity. He can protect possession against larger defenders and generate significant power when accelerating from a standing position.

His left foot is his primary attacking weapon. Endrick can strike the ball with considerable power and does not require much backlift to produce dangerous shots, making him particularly difficult to defend around the edge of the penalty area.

He also attacks space aggressively. Endrick regularly positions himself on the shoulder of centre-backs and looks to accelerate behind the defensive line when teammates gain control in midfield.

His game remains relatively direct. Rather than dominating possession, he looks to reach dangerous positions quickly, attack goal and finish actions decisively.

As he develops, greater involvement in combination play, back-to-goal situations and decision-making against compact defences will be important parts of his progression towards becoming an elite-level centre-forward.
