Dušan Vlahović is a Serbian centre-forward and Serbia international who is currently a free agent following the expiration of his Juventus contract. A powerful left-footed striker, he is known for his penalty-area movement, physical presence and ability to finish from a variety of positions.
Vlahović established himself as one of Serie A’s most highly rated young forwards during his time with Fiorentina. His prolific goalscoring performances earned him a major move to Juventus in January 2022, where he became the focal point of the club’s attack and scored 68 goals across four and a half seasons.
His Juventus contract expired at the end of June 2026 after the two sides were unable to agree terms on an extension. Vlahović therefore entered the market as one of the most prominent free-agent strikers available in European football.
At international level, he progressed through Serbia’s youth teams before making his senior debut in 2020. He has since become an important member of the national team and has represented Serbia at major international tournaments.

Vlahović’s move from Fiorentina to Juventus was one of the biggest transfers in Serie A during the 2022 winter window. Juventus committed a total package exceeding €80m when associated costs and potential bonuses were included.
He arrived in Turin after scoring at an exceptional rate for Fiorentina, but Juventus went through significant sporting and managerial instability during much of his time at the club.
Contract negotiations ahead of the summer of 2026 ultimately failed. Juventus wanted to restructure his salary, while Vlahović’s representatives did not accept the proposed terms, resulting in his departure on a free transfer.
Vlahović is primarily a centre-forward and is most effective as the highest attacker in a system built around his penalty-area presence and ability to stretch defensive lines.
His left foot is his primary attacking weapon. He can finish powerfully from central areas, strike first-time opportunities and score from outside the penalty area when defenders give him space.
At 1.90m, Vlahović provides a strong physical reference point. He can compete with centre-backs, protect possession with his back to goal and attack crosses from wide areas.
His movement behind defensive lines is another important quality. Vlahović regularly positions himself on the shoulder of a centre-back before making aggressive runs towards goal.
He can also contribute during attacking build-up by dropping deeper to connect with midfielders and wide players. However, his greatest value remains his ability to occupy the penalty area and convert chances.
Vlahović is also capable from direct free kicks and penalties, providing additional scoring routes beyond open play.
