Desire Doue is a French winger and attacking midfielder who plays for Paris Saint-Germain and the France national team. One of the most exciting young attackers in European football, he combines close control, explosive changes of direction and creativity with the versatility to play across several attacking positions.
Doué developed through Rennes’ academy before making his senior breakthrough in Ligue 1 as a teenager. His performances attracted major interest from across Europe, with PSG eventually winning the race for his signature in the summer of 2024.
His development accelerated rapidly in Paris. Doue became an increasingly important part of Luis Enrique’s attacking structure and played a decisive role in PSG’s first UEFA Champions League triumph, producing an outstanding performance in the 2025 final.

Doué’s transfer became one of the major recruitment battles of the 2024 summer window. Bayern Munich were among the clubs strongly interested in the player, but PSG ultimately secured him on a five-year agreement.
The move gave Doué the opportunity to remain in Ligue 1 while joining a Champions League contender and working under Luis Enrique. His development after the transfer significantly increased both his sporting importance and market value.
Playing profile
Doué is an exceptionally versatile attacking player who can operate as a right winger, left winger, number ten or advanced central midfielder. His technical and physical qualities allow him to move fluidly between wide and central areas.
His greatest individual strength is his dribbling. Doué uses rapid changes of direction, body feints and close touches to manipulate defenders before accelerating away from pressure.
Unlike many young wingers, he is comfortable operating in congested central spaces. Doué can receive between the lines, turn under pressure and carry possession directly towards the defensive line.
