About

Oskar Pietuszewski is a Polish winger who plays for FC Porto and the Poland national team. Primarily used from the left, he is a direct, technically confident attacker with strong acceleration, close control and the ability to threaten defenders in one-on-one situations.

Pietuszewski developed entirely through Jagiellonia Białystok’s academy before breaking into the senior team as a teenager. His rise in Poland was rapid, and by the end of 2025 he had established himself as one of the country’s most highly rated young attacking players.

FC Porto signed him in January 2026 for an initial fee of around €8m. He adapted quickly to Portuguese football, scoring his first Porto goal within weeks of arriving and becoming the youngest foreign player to score for the club.

At international level, Pietuszewski progressed through Poland’s youth teams before reaching the senior national team in 2026. His technical profile, age and early exposure to top-level European football make him one of the leading prospects in Polish football.

Pietuszewski spent his entire youth development period with Jagiellonia before moving abroad for the first time in January 2026.

Porto paid around €8m guaranteed, with performance-related bonuses potentially taking the total package to approximately €10m.

Only a few months after arriving, Porto extended his contract until 2031 and inserted a €60m release clause, reflecting his rapid progression and increased long-term value.

Playing profile

Pietuszewski is primarily a left winger but can also operate from the right or as an attacking midfielder.

He is right-footed and particularly dangerous when attacking defenders directly from the left side. His acceleration and close control allow him to shift the ball quickly before driving towards goal.

One of his main strengths is his willingness to play vertically. Pietuszewski looks to carry possession forward rather than circulating the ball conservatively and frequently attempts to eliminate defenders through dribbling.

He also possesses strong attacking instincts around the penalty area. His movement allows him to arrive in scoring positions despite beginning attacks from wide areas.

Technically, he is comfortable receiving at speed and can combine quickly with central attackers. His passing and decision-making in the final third continue to improve as he gains senior experience.

At Porto, he is developing within an environment known for preparing young players for higher-level European football, making his next two to three seasons particularly important for his long-term trajectory.
