Bryan Mbeumo is a Cameroonian international forward who plays for Manchester United. Primarily a right winger, he can also operate centrally as a striker or in a supporting attacking role.
Born in France, Mbeumo developed through Troyes before moving to Brentford in 2019. He became one of the club’s most important players, helping Brentford earn promotion to the Premier League and later establishing himself as one of the league’s most productive wide forwards.
His outstanding 2024/25 campaign, in which he scored 20 Premier League goals, led Manchester United to make him one of their major attacking signings in the summer of 2025. He continued to produce goals during his first season at Old Trafford and became an important part of United’s front line.
Internationally, Mbeumo represented France at youth level before choosing Cameroon. He made his senior Cameroon debut in 2022 and represented the country at the FIFA World Cup later that year.

Mbeumo’s transfer to Brentford proved to be one of the club’s most successful recruitment decisions. Signed while still developing in Ligue 2, he became a key player during Brentford’s promotion campaign and then adapted extremely well to the Premier League.
His value increased dramatically as his attacking output improved. The 2024/25 campaign was the decisive breakthrough, with 20 league goals making him one of the most productive attackers in England.
Manchester United subsequently paid an initial £65m to sign him in July 2025, making the move Brentford’s record player sale.
Mbeumo is primarily a right winger but is capable of operating as a centre-forward, second striker or attacking midfielder.
As a left-footed attacker starting from the right, he naturally looks to move inside into shooting and combination areas. His movement allows him to threaten both the space behind the defence and central positions around the penalty area.
One of his biggest strengths is his off-ball intelligence. Mbeumo times runs behind full-backs and centre-backs extremely well and consistently creates high-quality goalscoring positions.
He is also a powerful ball carrier. His acceleration, balance and strength make him difficult to dispossess when attacking space at speed.
Mbeumo has developed into a reliable finisher, particularly with his stronger left foot. His shooting technique allows him to score from tight angles, transitions and positions around the edge of the box.
His work without possession is another major strength. He presses aggressively, tracks runners and provides the defensive intensity required from a modern Premier League winger.
His ability to combine goalscoring, chance creation, pressing and positional versatility makes him useful across several attacking systems.
