Talents Sports client Allan heads for Manchester City
Talents Sports client Allan is set to join Manchester City after the Premier League club reached a verbal agreement with Palmeiras.
The deal is worth €40m fixed plus add-ons, with documents now being exchanged between the clubs. Allan will become a new attacking option for Enzo Maresca after City moved quickly to replace Savinho, who is joining Tottenham.
The agreement completes a fast-moving operation. City had already reached the player side of the deal, and Palmeiras pushed for a package closer to €40m after earlier approaches around €30m were considered too low.
City move after Savinho exit
Manchester City needed a new winger once Savinho’s move to Tottenham accelerated.
Allan became the main option because of his profile: left-footed, direct, quick in one-v-one situations and able to play as a right winger, left winger or attacking midfielder. That versatility is important for Maresca, who wants wide players who can hold width but also move inside and combine between the lines.
City are not buying a finished Premier League player. They are buying one of the most interesting Brazilian wide talents on the market, with enough senior experience to compete now and enough upside to develop quickly in England.
Palmeiras accept after holding firm
Palmeiras did not enter talks wanting to sell cheaply.
Brazilian reporting made clear that the club initially resisted lower numbers and wanted a deal around the €40m mark. That position has now been met, with City agreeing a fixed fee of €40m plus add-ons.
For Palmeiras, the sale is a major financial operation. Allan came through the academy, became a first-team regular under Abel Ferreira and is now leaving for one of the biggest clubs in Europe. The deal also reflects the club’s broader transfer model: develop elite Brazilian talent, give them senior responsibility, then sell only when the package reaches top-level value.
The numbers behind Allan’s rise
Allan’s 2026 season explains why City moved.
UOL reported that he had played 41 matches this season, scoring six goals and providing five assists. Folha also credited him with 96 total Palmeiras appearances and nine goals, including six this year.
Opta Analyst lists his Palmeiras league career at 68 appearances, 3,290 minutes, eight goals and five assists across domestic league competition from 2025 onward. His 2026 Brasileirão output includes four goals and two assists in 20 league matches.
Palmeiras’ official profile also highlights his academy background. Allan joined the club at Under-15 level, stood out for his dribbling and left-footed attacking quality, and scored 17 goals in 43 Under-20 matches in 2024 before becoming a senior-team figure.
Agency angle
This is a major Europe-bound transfer for Talents Sports, the São Paulo-based agency led by owner and FIFA-licensed intermediary Paulo Pitombeira.
The agency has built a strong Brazil-to-world pathway, with clients and deals across Brazil, Portugal, England, Ukraine, the Middle East, MLS and Asia.
