Bertolucci Sports client Bruno Guimaraes has completed his move from Newcastle United to Arsenal in a £75m transfer.
The Brazil international has signed a contract until June 2030, with Arsenal holding an option for a further season. The deal makes Bruno one of the biggest midfield investments of the Mikel Arteta era and closes one of the Premier League’s longest-running summer stories.
Newcastle did not want to sell their captain. Arsenal, after years of watching him shape games against them, reached the point where they felt they could not ignore the opportunity.
The transfer Arsenal passed on in 2022
The history makes the deal even more interesting.
In January 2022, Arsenal had the chance to sign Bruno from Lyon.
