Moussa Sissoko client Barcola nears Liverpool

Moussa Sissoko client Bradley Barcola is close to joining Liverpool after the club reached an agreement in principle with Paris Saint-Germain.

The package is expected to be worth around £120m, with approximately £100m fixed and the rest structured in add-ons. Final details still need to be completed between Liverpool and PSG, but the transfer is now moving quickly after a breakthrough overnight.

Barcola has been open to Liverpool throughout the process, and PSG’s stance has softened after weeks of holding out for a higher valuation.

Liverpool finally get their left winger

Liverpool have chased Barcola for much of the summer, and this breakthrough gives Andoni Iraola the wide attacker he has been pushing for.

The France international brings pace, direct running, one-v-one threat and high-level Champions League experience. He is naturally strongest from the left, where he can attack defenders, drive inside and create chances at speed.

Liverpool needed that profile after reshaping their attack. Mohamed Salah’s departure changed the right-side dynamic, while Cody Gakpo’s future has also been discussed during the window. Barcola gives Liverpool a marquee wide forward with both immediate impact and long-term value.

PSG accept a compromise

PSG had initially valued Barcola much higher, with figures around £145m discussed earlier in the summer. Liverpool refused to go that far, and the final package now looks like a compromise: huge money, but still below PSG’s original demand.

The French champions have also changed their attacking structure. With players such as Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Ferran Torres, Maghnes Akliouche, Désiré Doué and Ousmane Dembélé in the squad, Barcola’s role became less guaranteed.

That opened the door for Liverpool. Barcola wanted the move, Liverpool stayed in the race, and PSG eventually moved toward a number that could be accepted.

The numbers behind the fee

Barcola’s output explains why Liverpool were willing to go so high.

StatMuse lists him with 11 goals and one assist in 29 Ligue 1 appearances for PSG in 2025/26. Broader season data credits him with 13 goals and six assists in 48 matches across all competitions.

His PSG record is also strong. The club previously marked his 100th appearance with 26 goals and 29 assists, alongside two Ligue 1 titles, two French Cups, two Trophée des Champions and a Champions League trophy.

That mix of production, age and elite-club experience is what Liverpool are buying. At 23, Barcola is already proven but still has room to grow into one of Europe’s leading wide forwards.

Agency angle

This is another major transfer file for Moussa Sissoko, who has become one of the most influential representatives around French attacking talent.

Sissoko is already strongly connected to Ousmane Dembélé, Désiré Doué and Bradley Barcola, and he recently added Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to his mandate. That gives him major influence across PSG’s attacking group and now places him at the centre of one of Liverpool’s biggest transfers of the decade.

For FootballAgencies readers, the agency story is clear: Sissoko has helped move Barcola from PSG squad competition into a Premier League project where he can become a central attacking figure.

Final details now matter

The deal is not officially complete yet. Liverpool and PSG still need to finalise the remaining details, but the main breakthrough has arrived.

If completed, Barcola will become one of Liverpool’s most expensive signings and another major French talent moving from PSG into the Premier League. For Liverpool, it is a statement after a long summer pursuit. For PSG, it is a huge sale from a crowded attacking department. For Moussa Sissoko, it is another elite-level mandate delivered at the top of the market.
