HCM Sports Management at centre of Saibari deal

HCM Sports Management client Ismael Saibari is set to join Bayern Munich after PSV accepted an official bid for the Morocco international.

The agreement is built around a €45m fixed fee, with add-ons taking the final package above €50m for PSV. Formal steps are still to follow, including the medical, which is planned in the United States after Saibari’s involvement with Morocco against Brazil at the World Cup.

German reporting also points to a long-term Bayern contract, with BILD reporting that Saibari is expected to sign until 2031. That makes this a major strategic signing for Bayern, not a short-term squad addition.

Kompany gets a priority target

Vincent Kompany has been central to Bayern’s push for Saibari. Reports from Germany described the Belgian coach as a strong advocate of the move, with direct talks taking place between Bayern, the player and his representatives earlier in the process.

That matters because Saibari is not a classic Bayern winger signing. He is a hybrid attacking midfielder: strong between the lines, powerful carrying the ball, capable of playing centrally or from wide areas, and dangerous arriving into scoring positions.

For Kompany, that versatility is valuable. Saibari can operate as an advanced No.8, a No.10, a left-sided attacker or an interior in a more fluid attacking structure. Bayern are not only buying output. They are buying tactical flexibility.

PSV receive a record-level package

For PSV, this is a huge sale. A package above €50m places Saibari among the most valuable outgoing deals in the club’s history and rewards the development work done since he joined from Genk’s youth setup in 2020.

PSV had been firm in negotiations. Earlier reports suggested the Dutch club wanted a major fee and attractive payment terms before approving the transfer. Bayern’s accepted package now gives PSV both a high guaranteed amount and additional upside through bonuses.

It is also a clean example of the Dutch model working at the elite end of the market: recruit young, develop technically, give responsibility, then sell at peak value when a major club arrives.

Saibari’s season explains the price

Saibari’s 2025/26 season was the best of his career. PSV season records list him with 36 appearances, 19 goals and a leading role in another Eredivisie title-winning campaign. In the league, he scored 15 goals in 26 appearances, finishing among the top scorers in the Eredivisie despite not being a traditional centre-forward.

His Champions League output also helped. Public records list three European goals this season, while Spanish reporting placed his full campaign at 19 goals and nine assists in 37 matches.

Then came the World Cup moment. Against Brazil, Saibari scored a superb lob over Alisson in Morocco’s opening match, adding another layer of visibility just as Bayern and PSV were finalising the deal.

Agency angle: HCM land a major Bayern move

For HCM Sports Management, this is one of the agency’s biggest elite-club placements.

The agency, founded by Hasan Cetinkaya, helped manage a complex file where Bayern had already reached agreement on the player side before the club-to-club deal was completed, while PSV continued to hold firm on the fee. That kind of timing matters. Saibari was rising quickly through his PSV performances, then increased his international visibility again with Morocco at the World Cup.

A strong tournament could have brought more clubs into the race or increased PSV’s demands. Bayern moved quickly, Kompany pushed personally, and HCM Sports Management were positioned at the centre of the player’s next step.

Bayern add a different profile

Saibari gives Bayern something different from their existing attacking options. He is not only a dribbler, not only a scorer and not only a midfielder. He combines physicality, technical control and final-third output.

That profile could help Bayern in games where they need more central power behind the striker, but also in matches where Kompany wants extra runners from midfield. Saibari’s ability to arrive in the box is one of the reasons his goal numbers jumped so sharply at PSV.

The deal still needs the medical and final formalities, but the main agreement is now in place. Bayern get a 25-year-old Morocco international at his highest career point. PSV get a €50m-plus package. HCM Sports Management get another major move on the European market.
