Sports360 continues its European expansion with Sports360 Hungary
Sports360 has taken another step in its European expansion by launching Sports360 Hungary, a new venture focused on scouting, developing and representing Hungarian talents on the international stage. The project is led by former Hungary international Zoltán Stieber and lawyer–entrepreneur Dániel Diglics dr., with the backing of Sports360 partners Volker Struth and Sascha Breese.
Based in Budapest and launched this summer, Sports360 Hungary is designed as a bridge between Hungary’s talent-rich domestic scene and the major European leagues. It aims to give promising players modern career guidance, strong legal and contractual support, and access to the agency’s global club network.
Who are Sports360?
Sports360 is one of Germany’s leading football agencies, co-founded by Volker Struth, and known for representing high-profile players and coaches across the Bundesliga and beyond. Over the last decade, the agency has been involved in some of the most notable transfers in German and European football, building a reputation for strategic career planning, strong relationships with top clubs and a long-term, partnership-based approach to client management.
The agency has increasingly focused on building regional hubs – such as Sports360 Netherlands – that combine local expertise with its central scouting, data, and dealmaking capabilities. Sports360 Hungary is the latest piece of that strategy, tailored to one of Europe’s most passionate football markets.
Zoltán Stieber – from Euro 2016 hero to agent and country head
At the heart of Sports360 Hungary stands Zoltán Stieber, a former Hungary international best known for his memorable chipped goal against Austria at Euro 2016 – the strike that sealed a 2–0 win in Hungary’s opening group match and became one of the iconic moments of that tournament for Hungarian fans.
Stieber’s playing career took him through several European leagues. Born in Hungary, he moved to England at youth level, spending time in the Aston Villa academy, before establishing himself in German football with spells at clubs such as Alemannia Aachen, Greuther Fürth, Mainz 05 and Hamburger SV. Later in his career he also played in the United States with D.C. United. That journey gave him first-hand experience of different football cultures, dressing rooms and league structures – knowledge that is now directly relevant to his work as an agent and country head.
Crucially, Stieber is not new to Sports360. During the peak years of his playing career, he was represented by Volker Struth and Sascha Breese. As Sports360 highlighted when announcing the project, “the circle closes” with Stieber now returning to the agency side of the table as the face of Sports360 Hungary. That continuity of trust – from player–agent relationship to business partnership – is at the core of the new venture.
The role of Dániel Diglics dr. – legal and entrepreneurial backbone
Alongside Stieber, Dániel Diglics dr. provides the legal, business and structural backbone of Sports360 Hungary. With a background that combines law, entrepreneurship and sports business, Diglics is responsible for ensuring that contracts, compliance and long-term planning match the standards of top European markets.
In modern football, where transfer regulations, image rights, tax structures and licensing rules change rapidly, this kind of expertise is essential. Diglics’ role is to make sure that promising Hungarian players and their families are protected, informed and professionally represented – whether they are signing their first professional contract in Hungary or moving abroad.
What Sports360 Hungary wants to achieve
The launch of Sports360 Hungary is about more than putting a logo on business cards. The project has several clear ambitions. First, it wants to discover and support young talents early, working closely with clubs, academies and local coaches to identify players who have both footballing potential and the mindset to build a long-term career.
Second, it aims to combine local understanding with global reach. Stieber and Diglics bring deep knowledge of the Hungarian football landscape – from academy structures to cultural expectations – while Sports360 provides relationships with clubs in Germany, the Netherlands and other major European leagues. For a young Hungarian player, that combination can make the difference between a stalled move and a well-planned step up.
Third, Sports360 Hungary is designed to professionalise player representation in the region, offering modern career management, transparent communication with families, and structured support off the pitch – from contract negotiations and legal matters to advice on adaptation abroad.
“The circle closes”: why this partnership matters
For Sports360, the launch of Sports360 Hungary is both a strategic move and a personal story. Volker Struth and Sascha Breese once guided Zoltán Stieber through the biggest stages of his playing career. Now, Stieber takes on a leadership role within the agency, using his experience as a former international to help the next generation of Hungarian talents navigate their own journeys.
For Hungarian football, the project brings a globally connected agency into closer, more permanent contact with the domestic scene. It creates a structure where a talented teenager from Budapest or Debrecen can be scouted, advised and – when the time is right – introduced to opportunities in the Bundesliga, Eredivisie or other top competitions, with proper support at every step.
And for players and families, Sports360 Hungary signals a simple, but powerful message: you can stay rooted in Hungary and still think globally. With a former national-team hero as country head, a strong legal co-founder, and the backing of one of Europe’s most established football agencies, the venture is positioning itself as a new reference point for ambitious Hungarian footballers looking beyond their home league.
