Guendouzi to Fenerbahçe – €29m package is agreed
Mattéo Guendouzi to Fenerbahçe is done. A verbal agreement is in place for a €29m package including add-ons, with paperwork being drafted between the clubs to give the final green light and complete the move this week. Guendouzi has already agreed terms, as reported in Turkey by Yağız Sabuncuoğlu.
Agency intro: Sport Cover – Meïssa N’Diaye’s boutique model
Right behind the headline is Sport Cover, the Paris-based football agency representing Guendouzi. Founded in 2006 by FIFA-licensed agent Meïssa N’Diaye, Sport Cover has grown into a high-touch, boutique operation built around staying close to each client – players and coaches – with full-career services spanning negotiations, transfers and off-pitch support.
The agency represents some of the top players such as Marcus Thuram, Khéphren Thuram, Brian Brobbey or Nordi Mukiele. Or coaches like Francesco Farioli or Régis Le Bris.
Guendouzi’s history – Arsenal, Marseille, Lazio, and now a new chapter
Born 14.04.1999 in Poissy, Guendouzi broke through in France before moving to Arsenal, where his intensity and edge made him one of the most recognisable young midfielders in the Premier League. After his spell in North London, he spent time in Germany with Hertha Berlin, rebuilt his momentum at Marseille, and later moved to Lazio, where he has been a key midfield piece in Serie A.
Why Fenerbahçe are pushing – profile, pressure, and a statement fee
At his best, Guendouzi is a tempo-setting central midfielder: aggressive in duels, relentless in pressing, and comfortable carrying the ball through midfield lines. A €29m package would represent a major investment and a statement of intent from Fenerbahçe, with the club betting that Guendouzi’s experience in England, France and Italy translates immediately to the Süper Lig’s intensity and expectation.
