Diaby gives Inter the green light
Moussa Diaby has already agreed to join Inter on loan from Al Ittihad, with talks centred on a €35m option to buy. The deal now depends on Al Ittihad’s decision on the final structure and whether they accept the option-based formula.
Who is Moussa Diaby?
Diaby is a 26-year-old left-footed winger (born 07.07.1999) from Paris, primarily used on the right side to attack infield. He came through PSG’s system, had a short loan at Crotone, then built his European reputation at Bayer Leverkusen before moving to Aston Villa in 2023. In July 2024 he joined Al Ittihad for a fee reported around €60m, signing a contract running to 30.06.2029.
Why Inter want him
For Inter, Diaby offers immediate pace, 1v1 threat and transition power, while also giving tactical flexibility to play wide or closer to a second striker depending on the system. The proposed loan-first structure would also reduce January risk if the club wants to assess fit before triggering the purchase option.
Agency angle: Elite 19 Sports Management
Diaby is represented by Elite 19 Sports Management, a Paris-based agency founded by Losseni Sy with an international client list and a track record of high-value moves. Elite 19 are listed as Diaby’s agent of record and have been closely associated with his recent career decisions.
Inter have the player-side agreement, but the deal hinges on Al Ittihad’s stance: either accepting a loan with option at €35m or pushing for a more guaranteed structure. Until that is resolved, the negotiation remains open even with Diaby’s “yes” already in place.
