FOKUS client Trossard heads for Istanbul
FOKUS by DHSE & Cracksman client Leandro Trossard is set to join Besiktas after giving his approval to the Turkish move.
The agreement is built around a reported €18m fixed fee plus €2m in add-ons. Arsenal had already accepted the terms last week, and the final green light from Trossard now allows the transfer to move into the closing stage.
The Belgian winger is expected in Istanbul for his medical and contract signing, with Besiktas preparing to add a proven Premier League forward to their attacking line.
Arsenal move on from an experienced squad weapon
Trossard leaves Arsenal with a strong body of work behind him. Signed from Brighton in January 2023, he quickly became one of Mikel Arteta’s most useful attacking options because of his intelligence, flexibility and end product.
He was never limited to one role. Trossard could play from the left, operate centrally, combine in tight spaces, press aggressively and finish chances with either foot. That made him valuable in Premier League matches where Arsenal needed control, rotation or a different attacking rhythm.
His latest Arsenal season again showed his usefulness. Trossard produced eight goals and 11 assists in 50 appearances across all competitions in 2025/26, while his overall Arsenal record stands at 36 goals and 34 assists in 174 matches.
At 31, however, the timing of the sale is understandable. Arsenal secure a fee close to €20m for a senior forward, while Trossard gets a clearer route to a leading role.
Besiktas add a player ready to lead now
For Besiktas, this is not a development signing. It is a move for immediate quality.
Trossard arrives with Premier League experience, Champions League minutes, Belgium national-team pedigree and a record of scoring important goals. He can help Besiktas in domestic competition, but he also gives the club a more polished attacking profile for European nights.
His game should translate well to Istanbul. Besiktas need forwards who can play under pressure, break compact defensive blocks and decide matches in emotional stadiums. Trossard has spent years doing that in England, often in games where space is limited and execution has to be quick.
Agency angle
This deal is another important international move for FOKUS by DHSE & Cracksman, the agency now linked with Trossard’s representation on FootballAgencies.
The Trossard file is a good example of how modern agencies manage more than one transfer moment. The player has already made key career jumps from Belgium to Brighton, from Brighton to Arsenal, and now from Arsenal to Besiktas. Each step required timing, market positioning and a clear read of where the player could keep influence on the pitch.
For FOKUS, a Besiktas move places a Belgian international in one of Turkey’s biggest clubs and keeps him visible in a high-pressure football environment.
A smart deal for all sides
This transfer has logic for all parties. Arsenal reduce the age profile of the squad and bring in a solid fee. Besiktas gain an experienced attacker with elite-league output. Trossard gets a new challenge where he can move from rotation option to central figure.
The final formalities are now medical tests, contract signing and club announcements. Once completed, Leandro Trossard’s Arsenal chapter will close with strong numbers, while Besiktas will welcome one of the most experienced attacking arrivals of their summer window.
