Leeds reach verbal agreement for Buonanotte
Leeds United have reached a verbal agreement to sign Facundo Buonanotte, with the deal structured around Chelsea terminating his season-long loan from Brighton, sending him back briefly to the Seagulls and then allowing him to complete a move to Elland Road. Reports say the move is approved by all parties and Buonanotte is expected to undergo his Leeds medical soon.
The storyline is a twist on last summer’s window: Buonanotte was linked with Leeds before Chelsea stepped in late, and now Leeds look set to land the player once the Chelsea spell is formally cut short.
Who is Facundo Buonanotte?
Buonanotte is a 21-year-old Argentine attacking midfielder (born 23.12.2004) who can also operate wide. He joined Brighton from Rosario Central and quickly gained attention for his close control, sharp turns between the lines and final-third decision-making. Brighton have already shown long-term belief in him with contract protection, and his development path has included a season-long loan spell designed to accelerate his Premier League readiness.
The agency behind the move – KMB Sports
Buonanotte is represented by KMB Sports, a football agency founded by Kristian Bereit that describes itself as UK-based and focused on representing international talent, mainly Argentine talent pathways into Europe and MLS. The agency has been central to shaping the route from a stalled Chelsea loan into a Leeds move built around playing time, role clarity and momentum.
Kristian Bereit also posted a story on Instagram while visiting Leeds training ground and academy.
The agency also represents some top players such as Nicolás Tagliafico, Marcos Rojo or their latets addition Exequiel Palacios from Bayer Leverkusen.
Why Chelsea are stepping aside
Buonanotte’s minutes at Chelsea have been limited, and the early end to the loan is being framed as a solution that works for everyone – Chelsea clear a squad spot, Brighton regain control of the player’s registration, and Leeds get a creative midfielder who should start regularly.
