Deal agreed: six-month loan, option to buy, Celtic cover full salary

Celtic have reached a full agreement with Borussia Mönchengladbach to sign Tomas Cvancara on a six-month loan with a purchase option included. Celtic will also cover the player’s full remaining salary until the end of the season. The 25-year-old striker is expected to complete his medical on Wednesday as the move enters its final steps.

Who is Tomáš Čvančara?

Cvancara is a Czech centre-forward, born 13.08.2000, currently contracted to Borussia Mönchengladbach. As the transfer edges closer, he has also teased the move on social media, including a photo posted from a plane alongside his agent David Nehoda.

The agency behind the move: Nehoda Sport a.s.

Cvancara is represented by Nehoda Sport a.s., a long-standing, family-run Czech football agency founded by JUDr. Zdenek Nehoda after the political changes of 1989. The company blends football and legal expertise – Zdenek Nehoda is a former Czechoslovakia striker and Euro 1976 winner, and remains heavily involved in key negotiations.

The day-to-day football operations are co-run by Mgr. David Nehoda, also a FIFA-licensed agent, with Michal Nehoda involved as a senior sports manager and board member within the family firm.

The agency helped launch the careers of stars like Pavel Nedved and Jan Koller. Today, they also represent Czech international Vaclav Cerny, who played for Rangers, so Scotland is familiar territory for them.

With the club-to-club agreement in place and the player en route for medical checks, Celtic’s focus is now on completing paperwork and confirming the option-to-buy framework. If everything is signed off as expected, Cvancara becomes another high-profile Central European arrival in Glasgow – and another headline deal facilitated by the Nehoda Sport agency network.
