Chelsea revive Noah Sadiki interest – DWMA client remains on shortlist after fresh talks

Chelsea return to Noah Sadiki talks

Noah Sadiki is back in Chelsea’s active thinking. Sacha Tavolieri reported that fresh talks took place last week between Chelsea’s management and the player’s camp, with the Sunderland midfielder still well positioned on the club’s shortlist after first being highlighted in December. ESPN had already reported in December that Chelsea were accelerating efforts to sign Sadiki, alongside interest from Manchester United, after his strong start to life in England.

That does not mean a deal is close, and there is no indication yet of club-to-club negotiations with Sunderland. But it does suggest Chelsea’s interest has not cooled and his agency DWMA is alert. Instead, the opposite seems true: Sadiki remains one of the midfield names being monitored closely as Chelsea continue assessing market options ahead of summer.

Player profile – why Sadiki fits the Chelsea shortlist

Sadiki is a 21-year-old central midfielder, born on 17 December 2004, right-footed, and currently under contract at Sunderland until 30 June 2030. Sunderland signed him from Union Saint-Gilloise in July 2025 on a five-year deal, after he had played a major role in successful seasons in Belgium that included cup silverware and a league title.

His 2025/26 Premier League numbers help explain why bigger clubs are watching. FotMob lists Sadiki with 2,385 league minutes this season, a 6.87 average rating and 7 yellow cards, without scoring or assisting, while Sunderland said in early April that he had already featured in 26 Premier League matches and described him as an ever-present figure in the team. Those numbers do not scream final-third production, but they do point to availability, consistency and tactical trust.

This is also a profile Chelsea tend to like. Sadiki is young, already battle-tested in a major league, and able to bring intensity and defensive balance in midfield. The fact that he has settled quickly after arriving from Belgium only strengthens the case that he could be viewed as a development signing with first-team upside rather than a long-shot project.

The agency angle – DWMA and the Chelsea connection

Sadiki is represented by Deal With My Agents, better known as DWMA. DWMA is a France-based agency with reach across England and wider Europe, and Sadiki is among its rising U23 clients. The same agency profile also lists Wesley Fofana as a current Chelsea client and identifies his 2022 move from Leicester City to Chelsea as one of DWMA’s standout major deals.

That connection is worth noting. Agencies do not decide transfers on their own, but existing relationships with a club can matter when a player enters a serious shortlist. DWMA already know the Chelsea environment through Fofana, and if Sadiki stays live in the process, they will be handling another Stamford Bridge-linked case from a position of familiarity rather than from scratch.

Chelsea are still only in the discussion stage, but Sadiki’s name keeps resurfacing for a reason. He has age, durability, Premier League adaptation and room to grow, while DWMA bring an agency structure that already has Chelsea-level experience. That combination makes this one worth watching as the summer market gets closer.
